What a strange, strange book. I expected horror, but it was just a weird, meandering, wibbly wobbly sort of narrative.

3.5 stars really
Creepy, weird, atmospheric, and suspenseful.

I did spend a bit of the book feeling like I didn't get it and I also didn't love all the descriptions of breasts, but I also feel like it added to the creepy factor. Some of the images were so vivid and the way the narrative seemed to double back on itself kept me feeling lost in a good way.

Deeply unsettling and really interesting. I liked this a lot, it was creepy and surrealist and a little magical. This book left me feeling haunted and full of existential dread. Not a 5 star read because of multiple unnecessary depictions of abuse of a dog, which just jolted me out of the story.
