3.5 stars. The MCs bothering me at the beginning but grew on me. I really enjoyed watching Tess grow and realize that getting out of your comfort zone can be a good thing. The side characters were enjoyable.

A New Year’s Resolution taken to the extreme with this YA holiday romance.

Very cute New Year's Eve story.

3.5 stars - there's a very sudden shift in both how the sister and grandmother behave toward Tess that I felt didn't work quite as well; like going from indifferent/argumentative and indifferent/dictatorial to "everyone is friends, happy now" isn't just fixed over breakfast one morning. It needed a little more work and given that it's such a short book, there just wasn't space in the narrative to do it well.

Other than that, this is a good teen romcom-ish book set at a holiday other than Christmas with a main character who's really trying to figure out who she wants to be as she edges toward adulthood.

THIS IS THE CUTEST BOOK EVER.

Oh my goodness, I lived this book, the fluffy atmosphere, the witnesses, the love interest!
Finally a romcom where the MC isin't a stupid girl obsessed with love, but just a true, real relationship, with true real feelings and problems.
Our story starts with Tess and her twin sister Luaren going to their grandmothers ski resort for the week after Christmas while their parents are dealing with a divorce.
Tess is mad at her parents, and her sister, and quiet frankly the whole world, but when she meets a guy on the lobby sofa, and she gets to talking to him, her works changes forever.
The guy has nothing but time as he broke his leg and has been bored out of his mind for days.
But what she doesn't know is that he is hiding something kind of huge from her.
I absolutely adore this book, it's flirty, cute, fluffy, and completely adorable
I would definitely recommend 5/5 for the Christmas season.
