“If you want to change something about your life, just change it. Why do you have to wait for an arbitrary holiday to do it?”

New Year's Kiss was the perfect book to end 2022 with! The story follows Tess and her sister Lauren as they are forced to spend the week after Christmas at the Evergreen Lodge with their stern grandmother. Tess and Lauren are polar opposites with Tess being more shy and obsessed with lists and Lauren being outspoken and rebellious. Both of them are forced to participate in an array of events at the Lodge, even though they still can't forget about their tense family life. Luckily for Tess, she meets a cute boy called Christopher who is recovering from a leg injury. Their romance was sweet and I liked how Tess tried to slowly get out of her comfort zone! Sadly, the ending was a bit rushed and some issues didn't feel like they were properly explored!
