Really a coming of age romance. Imogen okay as a character.. not my fav.. She was really deep in the closet and swimming in comphet, too much for my taste mais can’t blame her, comphet is a bitch! Hated gretchen (her bff), she had such an online gay view of queer lives (really cookie cutter view of labels) and she was kind of biphobic! Loved lily and her support! Cute love interest but we don’t get a lot of her! Also loved the college queer gang such an accurate reality. C’est sur une durée de 9 jours et les throwbacks pour la profondeur de l’histoire etait bien fait! Aussi liked the realistic end, they are not in love and imogen and gretchen don’t make up instantally

I liked that it was addressed that Gretchen and the way she approached things was problematic

Cute book with an interesting theme on acceptance and gate-keeping within queer communities which I think is a lovely and important message, especially for younger queer and questioning audiences. I found Imogen very relatable as a fellow people pleaser who struggled with compulsory heterosexuality. I just think I’ve begun to outgrow this author and her high school tales. The references and Easter eggs are fun when you understand them, but I can tell I’m getting too old to understand most of them and I’m also coming to realize using them is not my favorite style of writing. First person which I don’t love. Also the end conflict just had me … bored?
Another romantic conflict solely based on miscommunication, groundbreaking
BUT you give me any sort of sapphic love story and I will be hooked, especially when I lowkey kin the main character and her love interest in butch 😍
