The story was compelling, but the relationship gave me pause. Her other three books have been delightful and have delivered very satisfying relationship arcs. In this one, the conflict was so intense and the reconciliation so abrupt, it felt unsatisfying/unsettling.

The worst of the series so far. The first 2 acts develop nicely and potentially set up some really interesting conflict, then in true Harper fashion the 3rd act tosses it mostly away. Also the resolution of the main romance is just... ick.
