I can't remember how I found out about this book, but with such a great title and cover, I was very excited.
And I had a great time! It's a wonderful homage to alien invasion B movies, and the late fifties Vegas setting of showgirls and mobsters fit perfectly.
The premise was great and so was the execution.

The book contains two other short stories, a more classic horror tale set in the Far West and a modern slasher.
They were very good as well.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes the genre.

Attack of the Killer Tumbleweeds is a fun horror story with characters I was rooting for in spite of their flaws. It takes place in Las Vegas, with a recently married couple, Buddy and Cindy-Lou Hitchcock who are on their honeymoon, a dancer who goes by Glitter and finally an aging actor named Dean Valentine. There's also a mobster named Jimmy who becomes more of a danger than the tumbleweeds. This novella is everything I'd expect from a campy B-horror film. :)

A superbly entertaining take on 1950's Americana and B-movie horror.
A jaded showgirl Glitter and washed-up Hollywood star Dean Valentine team up to seduce a pair of naive newlyweds. But when Las Vegas is overrun by razor-sharp tumbleweeds, they need to forge an unlikely alliance to save their lives.
This is a fun, fast-paced horror story filled with clever sarcasm, glitter and gore.
