Fans of I Funny will definitely want to pick up this sequel. Jamie Grimm, your favorite wheelchair-bound middle school comedian, won the New York State championship of the Planet's Funniest Kid Comic Contest at the end of the first book. Now he is preparing for the regional semi-finals. In addition to finding good material, he still has to get good grades, help his friends through some rough stuff, and deal with the school's biggest bully, his cousin Stevie. Can he leap these middle school hurdles and find away to become even funnier? Recommended for grades 4-8.

Cute again. Not quite as fun as the first, but definitely still cute and enjoyable. Great characters.

I read this a while back and I love it. I can't say that it always had me laughing, don't get me wrong some parts were super funny and the humor was never corny, but I loved the plot. The plot was great and the characters seem real and not flimsy at all. I saw these books for many years before I decided to finally pick it up. If you have just finished a really heavy book or series and you're sad and feel empty,(trust me I know how it feels) this would be a great light hearted read and will have you laughing at least once. It doesn't matter what age you are, pick this up right now.

Unnecessary second book in a series that could have been left as a stand alone book easily enough. More lame jokes, over the top bullies and situations, and a fairly weal plot overall with well not quite believable substance or set up. Patterson Inc and its writing by committee best, which is not that great. The passion, and creativity has burn away, leaving the ashes of imitating others, and writing for sales.

Its coming out December this year and no cover yet!?

Shame:)

After Reading: A little too out of my view/thinking at times, but those chapters and sections were gladly ignored. A funny book with a depressing history. If you really considered what happened, its kinda weird that this kid isn't in therapy or something, and he tries his best to put on a happy face through it all.

Why did it take me so long to realize how cheesy this series is?
