It's horrible. The book isn't funny at all.

A great book for fans of epic fantasy young and old, this book contains all of the classic elements: goblins, hero, princess, a rising dark lord. Yet Reeve puts a funny twist on each of these making the books something quite original and different at the same time it is familiar to those who know they genre.

I will always love Philip Reeve, but this book didn't do it for me. Undecided about reading the next one. With a little more depth (and more of Reeve's trademark wit) I would've been more engaged but I felt like Goblins was robbed of all its lustre.

Actually a 2.5
A fun book, but I didn't love it because the characters felt distant.
