'Aquaman #7' by Dan Abnett with art by Wayne Faucher is title 'Uneasy Lies The Head That Wears The Crown' and it's a fitting title.

Aquaman has returned to his kingdom and everyone has a matter for him to attend to. He's not even sure at this point if the Justice League would welcome him back. With all the problems facing him, there is really only one: who is trying to discredit Atlantis and provoke war with the surface world?

A ship has been sunk, and evidence points to Aquaman and his kingdom. Meanwhile, the Black Manta has his own plans going on.

I liked this issue. It's full of intrigue. It's been a pretty good story so far, and I think Dan Abnett's script works well. The art is also good.

I received a review copy of this issue from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this comic book.

well the issue was .... interesting .

The issue tells the tale of Arthur investigating the conspiracy against the people of the sea that could set them in a war against US , in the meanwhile Black Manta takes over as the new fisher king for N.E.M.O.

The issue sure had it's moment especially the moments hinting the growing doubt in Aquaman's mind of his involvement in the Justice league . There is already a range of possibility on how this can change and effect the whole DC universe But overall that's all the good that the series threw.

When the whole picture is compared however nothing much really happened a start of the investigation did take place but no real clues did come up meanwhile a new test for Mera and Black Manta creating a new mess as a distraction of Arthur felt like a little excess of storyline for a story that seemed to be setting it's pace until the last issue.

Sadly results are yet another average issue , but that's not necessarily a bad thing

So conflicted about this book. The art is terrible and the Black Manta storyline continues to be stupid, but the Political allegory that's going on is so strong—especially now. I also really want to see what Abnett is doing with Mera. Will give it at least 1 more.
