This book is an ideological crisis wrapped in a love story. The difference between the two main characters is presented primarily through their opinions on the government they live under and how they survive in it. It’s very well written

For some reason I didn't like this as much as I expected to, given how many 5 star reviews there are of this book...

Like the writing was quite good, but other than that? I don't know I just didn't fully connect to it I guess. Also it read quite fast, which is a big plus in my dyslexic opinion.
