Got it for free as an audio book. It is a fairly basic romance that touches on some dark topics. I got a bit annoyed with the best friend characters behaviour. I liked the concept but it was a bit too simple for my taste.

I tried really hard to like it, but I just can‘t be bothered. I had high hopes because I absolutely loved The Library, but it all fell flat. First of all, the characters are so one-dimensional and unlikeable. Secondly, the decision to add multiple POVs was strange to say the least. I didn‘t even care that much about Beth, so what makes the author think I care about her friend in London? It didn‘t fit at all. In the end I was just too bored and didn‘t care about anything that happend in the frist seven chapters.

A heartwarming cottage romance with lovable, quirky characters.
