The first book, [b:The Watch|20874907|The Watch|Tyner Gillies|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1392873234s/20874907.jpg|21617864], was a damned good read with hints of Stephen King.
In Dark Resolution [a:Tyner Gillies|6484564|Tyner Gillies|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] has stepped up his game. The prose is tighter and the scale of the story has grown. I'd call this novel an absolute success. Tyner writes gritty (and disturbing) crime fiction and demon slaying like he's sharing a peek into his daily life.
Highly recommended.
