  • Disabilities representation - insightful in how difficult it is to deal with the responses.
  • I can see having a kid with extra needs is very though and requires working together as a family yet it doesn’t seem fair that there is being put so much on Tessa, she should be able to be a teenager too! It seems like there’s no room for her own needs because her parents expect so much from her.
  • I think the plan of Caroline is funny yet I don’t like Nico being the target as he has a girlfriend and however much I want to root for Tessa I can not accept a girl going after another girl’s boyfriend, that is not done!
  • Overall I had a hard time rooting for Tessa: I know being a teenager is about making mistakes while trying to find who you truly are and with who can you be your best self but she is being very self absorbed and not a good friend…
  • I adored Lenore: what an amazing girl & friend!
  • Loved the finding self love and putting yourself first underlining!
  • The ending felt rushed.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the protagonist discover herself and reconnect with her lifelong passion. While the romance wasn’t exactly at the forefront of the story (despite the title), it was charming and sweet, perfect for high schoolers.
