Good. Not great, but a solid GL book. Got it for $5 at Dollarama and feel that is the xorrect pricepoint.

Half Jordan was done being a Green Lantern, but with the appearance of the Blackstars, he has to come back.
This story spans "The Green Lantern 1-6" and is a story of betrayal and of how far a lawman would/ should go to save lives. Artist Liam Sharp brings a sharp and distinctive style with his artwork and Grant Morrison tells a story of a universe in peril. Hal Jordan investigates this threat with increasing autonomy and violence.
One especially interesting aspect is an exploration of the reach and scope of the Green Lantern Corps. Planet and sun-sized lanterns down to microscopic and even antimatter lanterns are shown, in my opinion, greatly increasing the variety of sources of willpower that is the heart of the Corps.
Those who enjoy Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) stories and eye catching illustration will enjoy this graphic novel.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a prerelease of this graphic novel.

Gorgeous art and I like that GM is leaning into the cop aspect of GL but I had a hard time caring about what was going on. DNF. I may try again some other time but I doubt it.

This is Extreme Morrison, with all the good and bad it entails. A flood of amazing ideas covers each page, but it's at time hard to follow his ultra-compressed storytelling. Sharp's art is gorgeous, but is not very clear in it's storytelling which compounds the issue. For all that, it's massively fun and fast and packed with Big Ideas and a joy to read.

Every so often I read a good grant Morrison book, and this is a terrible thing because it makes me think I should give more of his stuff a shot.
For me reading Morrison is like watching a movie that has been edited with a bunch of the story stuff that’s in there for the sake of the audience cut out. You know how a character will usually find an excuse to explain everything? I feel like Morrison skips that. Which would work if his stories were not weird or complex. Problem is: his stories are ALWAYS weird and complex.

Fun beginning to this new Green Lantern story line! Morrison writes GL well, and the art by Sharp & colorization by Oliff is excellent. I mean, a Green Lantern that has an erupting volcano for a head? Wow.
