Main disappointment was that Maddy didn't wind up at the Gallagher Academy at the end of this book.

I will say, I am no longer a part of the age group this book is written for, which is a big reason why I didn't love it. It was also incredibly unbelievable. The characters were so entirely meh and the FMC somehow made the "I'm not like other girls" trope even more annoying that it already is. "I'm not like other girls but I have a bedazzled hatchet" is a weird pull.

The book had a good plot and was entertaining but a lot of the scenes felt very repetitive. I liked Logan well enough but Mad was a little frustrating in my opinion.
All in all it wasn’t bad and I didn't hate it, but it was just so repetitive. Plus, most of the questions I had about their relationship before and why he never answer her letters (which was supposed to be the whole reason she hated him) were never answered or explained. It was really wishy washy with the two of them and I wasn’t in love with the relationship.
It was good but not anything special.

Sayang banget, padahal premisnya bagus....

How can a trek through dangerous, snow filled wilderness also be funny? Ally Carter finds a way!
Great story and characters that were interesting and dealing with a lot. I enjoyed seeing how they tried to survive, get away from kidnappers and come to terms with emotional baggage.
