I can't believe that this series has come to an end! I wish the ending was longer, and I would like to know more about Gideon & the tar man, and their subsequent lives after everything that has happened. But overall, it was a fantastic read.

What the first two novels of this series did--create an entertaining and complex while age-appropriate story about time travel--this conclusion does not. Firstly, the author creates far too many new problems to be solved satisfactorily in this one book. As a result, the ending is abrupt and too simplified for what I felt the conflicts warranted. While the conclusion does make sense, it is not satisfying and it does not ring true in light of all the complex problems that sprung from the characters' adventures.

I'm so sad I'm finished because I will miss all the wonderful characters in these three books. I totally ship Peter and Kate and I really admire Gideon, I even like the Tar Man who I think is quite interesting. I feel especially connected with Kate because we're both redheads, we're both the oldest child and we're both determined. This trilogy has definitely hit home with me and will always have a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved the adventure. Goodbye Peter, Kate and Gideon, I will miss you.

The first two in the series were good, and for the most part, this one was,too. The whole series has a good vibe, the plot is sound, and the characters are good enough, but, unfortunately, it ends either anticlimactically or just plain annoyingly. It makes the whole story look like a waste of time when Buckley-Archer could have ended it nicely, somehow.
This whole book just seems to be getting darker, more confusing, and chaotic as it goes along, and that isn't very fun to read if there's too much of it.
I've read it twice, because it's the last part of a good series, but I wish the ending was better.

I recall the series being pretty entertaining, but the ending was so unsatisfying that it honestly bothered me a lot.

This one tied up the loose ends left by the first two. It hurts your brain most of the way through, and at the end you are screaming at the author for what happens to one of the characters, but then in the end everything turns out fine. It is kind of sad that they won't remember any of it though. I think that was the easiest way to make everything better, and that sort of disappointed me.
