First of all, I had no idea that this did not finish the story of Whit and Wisty Allgood. I'm disappointed by that fact. I hate reading series that I have to wait for the future installments! However, it is still a great story of good vs evil. The only problem...it seems that Wisty will now have to fight alone. We'll see. I really enjoyed both of the first two books so far.

The 2nd in the young adult trilogy of Witch  & Wizard. Very good, lots of "cat and mouse" between the hero/heroine and the evil force. Some unbelievable events, but it's fantasy, so to be expected. Am enjoying these.

THE GIFT, like the first book, was super action-packed. This book is fast-paced with short chapters that allowed me to read and read without getting bored with details. This book started out with death, and it just kept giving and giving. THE GIFT had so many twists and turns, and just when I thought it was over for Wisty and Whit, I was wrong. Everything just kept coming and coming l, and it was like can there be any more drama, and more magic? (and there was.) And in case you're wondering, Byron is still a weasel(well kind of.)

What I Liked About It:
*the magic
*the drama
*how easy it read
*the way Wisty and Whit care for each other
*Even the drama with Byron

Now I know why I had never read James Patterson before the first book in this series. I’m really glad the chapters were short because I couldn’t wait for this book to end. The characters were all caricatures at this point; the one who is the one is a cheesy over the top comic book villain, Whit is basically useless because he doesn’t actually have any magical powers, and Wisty can literally do anything that the plot commands for (even playing electric guitar at a concert) but doesn’t know how to control it. And how many times are they going to be captured and escape in this series? It’s been like seven through the first two books alone. The writing was bad at best and the plot wasn’t much better, not a series I’ll be continuing.
