This was a slow read for me at first, but after the first 100 pages it got very compelling! I loved the ending of the book. Truly satisfying!

“Autumn leaves don’t fall; they fly. They take their time and wander on this, their only chance to soar. Reflecting sunlight, they swirled and sailed and fluttered on the wind drafts.”

If you liked this book (which I did), you should read The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by Holly Ringland. Also, the movie of Where the Crawdads Sing is terrible, just stick with the book.
