Very, very cool concept, but it could have been executed better: you don't really get to feel a lot for the love interest and the villain is a bit of a joke. Some things were a bit clumsy, like Alice taking the drug with no guarantee of it being what she needed other than Papa L's word, or Jay putting his gun in his pocket and then keep on shooting... Also the formatting was uuhh something. I think his would have worked really well as a series, in order to interpret more of the source material in this VooDoo key.
