The 5-part miniseries collected here ties in with Zenescope's Age of Darkness crossover event, which presumably explains who the Trickster is and what motivates her, because I had no clue. The Ebony Blade has returned to Wonderland, which is odd, because I never knew it had been lost. I thought the Queen of Spades had it all along. Maybe I need to reread the Wonderland ongoing series again. Anyhow, the Trickster pits the Queens against each other to retrieve the Blade. A couple of main characters are written out because they fall victim to the blade. The story happens somewhere before the Wonderland Age of Darkness one-shot, which itself occurs somewhere around issue 23 (vol.5) of the Wonderland ongoing series. It also gives some backstory for Diamonds / Clubs relationship.
