I think the first episode of ReMade really started out with a bang. It managed to grab my attention from the beginning 'till the very end. I was so curious to find out what's going on, so A+ for the intrigue!This sure is a great start to the rest of the season! Also, I can totally picture the characters and imagine the descriptions realllly well. The succinct writing style helped with that. I can totally picture this as an actual TV show!

For 32 pages, this glimpse into the ReMade story really packs a punch.
Not only is Holden loveable and relateable, but the teen love and teen angst is realistically adorable and heartbreaking. His attraction to Seyah and the way he tries to get close to her with the school play is the kind of typical teenage stupidity.
I loved the way the story started as a contemporary teen romance, with a little bit of weird dreams thrown in. But the way the story seamlessly slipped into the sci-fi story was a great piece of writing and plot preparation.
I'm really looking forward to reading more. I'm intrigued to see where the story will lead Holden and Seyah, but also what the heck is going on and why there are a bunch of teens in red jumpsuits.

At first, I wasn't sure but now count me in as intrigued..

Really 2.5 stars. This is the first in a serial-style production of 15 episodes in the ReMade series. For a mere 36 pages, Matthew Cody (this episode's author, though a I gather not the author of every episode) manages to successfully build the foundation for a world (universe?) that has shaken off most of its resemblance to our own Earth. Until the last couple of pages, we aren't even fully aware of what has happened or where our protagonist, Holden, is.
Overall, the premise of this series is intriguing. The structure of its presentation is unique (being a serial) and it holds great promise. I find no fault in Cody's writing style, though I won't be quick to sing its praises either. This is certainly intended to be digestible, and that is what it accomplishes. As I am new to this style, I believe I am simply unaccustomed to this trait. However, I am confident that this is a post-apocalyptic story that will draw me in more and more as it unfolds; I will be subscribing.

The beginning pages took some time to acclimate to, and I would say that Holden is particularly relatable. Sure, he's the every-standard-teenage-boy-with-an-unrequited-crush model, but other than the trope, Cody fails to flesh him out. In fact, the subject of Holden's crush, Seyah, has more depth from our first encounter with her on the phone in a deserted parking lot. We can tell she's the quintessential popular girl in high school, but she's also clearly wary of being taken advantage of. She also reveals herself to be charming in the car, and multi-faceted on the journey to the Orbital Elevator - first insisting on rescuing Holden and then shutting him out when the immediate danger has passed. Unfortunately, Seyah isn't enough on her own to redeem the lack of depth in Holden thus far. The focus seems to be on setting the stage in this episode, so I can only hope that we get more character development to come.Overall, the premise of this series is intriguing. This is a great opener to the series. Creepy, dark and addicting. Readers will be intrigued and feel the need to find out what happens next.

As a start for this series I had high hopes and didn't know what to expect besides that the synopsis seemed to intrigue me. It wasn't a let down. It was a solid start and left me wanting more. So many questions you want answered! Entertaining, quick read. I would recommend it. 4 out of 5 stars.

Yes, it starts with a bang, which is good. But after that I only felt confused and then the episode was already over, leaving me with the feeling that I had no clue what I just finished.
Therefore, I don't know yet whether to continue. I just don't know of the idea of serials really works for me. I like to read the complete story, these 'bitesized' chunks are not enough for me to get invested in a story. Maybe I'll try some more of Remade when there are more episodes available.

This is a fantastic short piece. It is definitely a good setup for things to come. Reading it felt very much like a pilot episode for a tv series. There is a lot of good character introduction and hooks, but the plot for this first piece is very straightforward. I expect that the future episodes will crank up the complexity quite a bit.

Not that intriguing and simply illogical. Not in a fun sci-fi anything is possible way but in an elevator to space way. Also kinda hate the main character. woe is me the girl I have a creepy crush is kinda mad because I killed her ugh
