Such a powerful and beautiful story. Kaikeyi's journey was riveting and inspiring and heart breaking. I have so much respect for her and what she did.

This book was incredibly fun. A retelling of one of the most famous Indian tale, from the female “villain”, this book takes you on a fantastic journey. The imagery is so vibrant, and the relationship both deep and highly complex. I loved it.

Was a lot of detail and background knowledge on Hindu deities was helpful! But still amazing read without it; There were a lot of long descriptive portions in the beginning but all were necessary for this story. Totally worth the read, and love witnessing a woman’s perspective in this book.
