I really liked the artwork and the story line, I still loved the movie more and I'm not sure if it's because I saw the movie first. I hit a little lull in the middle and had a hard time getting through. This is completely different from the movie so keep that mind. Not the best comic, but still good if you were a huge fan of the movie like I was.

Fun quick read. Art is amazing. Can't help but think that everything went by a little too easily. Maybe it needed a few more chapters in between each volume, maybe more struggle for the characters and their experiences? As is there is not a whole lot of character development going on. Also, not as funny as I would have hoped it to be. The tone sets up a very laid back and comical atmosphere, with a lot of room for comedy regarding the tropes of spy genres, but it fails to deliver that comedy, and it ends up just being another spy story with all the typical tropes that come with the genre. But at the end if the day, this was never meant to be biting satire anyway. It's just a fun quick read if you have an hour to kill.
I had some high hopes after enjoying the movies, this was kind of boring.
One of the few cases where I liked the movie better than the book. I really like the movie because of how it played with spy movie tropes and most of that is missing from the book. Still, it's a solid story that's well executed.

I really enjoyed this one! The movie is one of my absolute favourites, so I was a little scared to read this for a while because I didn't want to compare them. But I liked how they weren't one and the same; it made it intriguing and interesting for me to read.

I was unaware the upcoming movie Kingsman: The Secret Service was based on a graphic novel until I saw this in my local comics shop, but had to pick it up when I saw Mark Millar's name on it (And, bonus, the artist is Dave Gibbons of [b:Watchmen|472331|Watchmen|Alan Moore|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327866860s/472331.jpg|4358649] fame). This is typical over-the-top Millar, taking a known quantity -- in this case the spy genre -- and "putting it up to 11", creating a warped coming-of-age story only he could imagine. It's similar in a lot of ways to what he did with superheroes in [b:Kick-Ass|3918010|Kick-Ass|Mark Millar|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1343964935s/3918010.jpg|3963458] and with assassins in [b:Wanted|160848|Wanted|Mark Millar|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1355855954s/160848.jpg|1475550], but better, as this story has a tighter focus and is fully resolved in this six-issue arc.

This is somehow both better and worse than the movie.
