No Judgements by Meg Cabot

I usually like Meg Cabot, but this book did nothing for me. Bree was full of bad decisions. Insisting on staying on an island, during a hurricane, without preparation, simply because she wanted people to think she was a local. The whole premise of needing to be a local was stupid.

There may be no judgements in this book (although let's be honest, there were plenty) but I am certainly judging this plot. The overarching idea was cute, but the way it was executed was so fictional that it was just super weird. If this is truly part of a series I don't know why and won't be bothering with the sequel.

I wanted to like this but this was such a disappointment. Nothing worked for me except for cute animals.

I'm sorry, but the only reason that this review is not 1 star is because it wasn't bad enough to make me stop reading.
I guess I don't love Meg Cabot's adult contemporary books. This is my first one, and it felt poorly written and unrealistic. I'm not put off from trying other adult contemporary books by her, but I don't think I'll be returning to Little Bridge Island.
