Interesting to know the folly is based on the one in her grounds at Greenway which you can visit for yourself. It seemed to have a sense of being sadder than some of her other mysteries. I was, as per usual, fooled as to who the murderer was.

A really good mystery, and once again I was wrong-footed, having thought I had a good answer. Christie's genius for constructing a crime and plotting out the investigation is second only to her eye for human nature. My only hesitation is that Poirot felt impotent for a lot of the narrative. But still, I enjoyed it, and it's worth a read- just wouldn't recommend it as a first Christie or Poirot.

I’ve never felt smarter in my entire life than right now because I finally actually guessed the killer and plot of a Christie mystery

Another great mystery from Christie with an unforeseen plot twist at the end. This book felt more plot driven with less investigating my Poroit.
