My daughter has regretfully discovered Peppa Pig after me managing over a year without her seeing it.
Personally I’ve always been wary of the muddy-puddle jumping pig who says naughty things to the adults in her life. Turns out as irritating as she can be at times, Peppa isn’t as bad as I thought and some of the stories are cute and fun. My daughter enjoys watching the cartoon and so we got her some of the books for her 2nd birthday. She loves telling me what she sees with the large simple illustrations and they are quick adaptations of things that happened in some of the cartoon episodes.
This one is about the importance of dressing appropriately when you go out in bad weather, as poor George catches a cold while refusing to wear his hat. Though it’s not strictly true medical science to say he caught the cold because his head was cold, it’s still a good way of encouraging children to wrap up warm in inclement weather.
