I really love this series. Though this is the fourth book, it is the first one I read. In my opinion the characters are spot on, the plot is fun and easy to follow without being overly simplistic, and the book as a whole is well written. 

I highly recommended this book to any Star Trek fans or those who enjoy sci-fi!
