Okay wow this one was super interesting. It honestly was nothing like what I was expecting. This one has dual timelines and is predominantly in the 1950s/1960s but we do get some current timeline chapters sprinkled throughout. The story was honestly so intriguing and had so many twists, which I know isn’t expected in historical fiction. There were just little details, some blatantly revealed and some that are hinted at and you may or may not catch. I’m really glad I picked this one up and it was definitely a story that held a lot more depth and seriousness than I expected.

I loved everything about this book! I loved the plot, the plot twists, extensive character development and the pacing and overall story. Highly recommend this is one that will stick with me for a while.

I really wanted to like this and care about it because I think the story is super important and interesting but I literally did not like a single one of the characters and had to force myself to read up to this point and when I realized that I had 3 more hours of listening to go to finish the book I decided to not force myself any more
