Totally unexpectedly I really enjoyed this story. Realistic fiction with believable characters all around, situations that show the depth of friendships as well as fears, and applications made in the logic of third-graders. And it made me laugh.

Clementine is one of my favorite characters and probably my favorite middle-grade heroine. I can hardly explain how overjoyed I am that she is now vegetarian. I mean, it just seems like a given that she would be and the way she became vegetarian was just perfect, authentic, and made me smile all day. Three cheers for Clementine (and Olive)!

Hilarious story about how kids get bogged down with what seem like meaningless worries and how it occupies a huge portion of their lives. And when they triumph through, it's a big deal! Third-grader Clementine is worried about going into fourth grade and the crazy "no eating noises" during lunchtime rule that the fourth graders have. In an effort to make a new girl comfortable, Clementine bucks the trend in true Clementine style. Oh, and she solves a mystery. All in a days work for this quirky third grader!

I love Clementine. And this installment in the series shows a slightly more mature, but still a charming and vibrant Clementine. Particularly, I liked her relationship with Margaret in this book.

Clementine is back and worried about loud eating on a field trip with the fourth graders. Another great entry in the series, and again enjoyed by the whole family.

It is the spring of Clementine's third grade year, and all the 3rd and 4th graders are getting ready to go on their big field trip to Plimouth Plantation. Clementine and Margaret have agreed to be partners, so that Clementine can help Margaret with anything that is germy or dirty, and Margaret can help Clementine with the "no food noises" rule that the 4th graders have put in place. But when a new girl named Olive joins Clementine's class, all of their plans are turned upside down. Another great Clementine story, looking at how we handle friendship and the changes in our lives. Recommended for grades 2-4.
