OK so I'm sad and shocked, not at all happy which I was at the end of red queen knowing shade is alive but but but this book had so much good in the middle but the ending was sad though the beginning was confusing a bit and somewhat sad but the ending is a lot baddd.

Mare : loved her throughout the story. She couldn't speak her heart and therefore people misunderstand her most of the times. She is a human she has same feeling as everyone else, it's just she takes step first towards change and loose people and even it's not her fault all the times though she is blamed. Her life was a whole Rollercoaster ride through out the 2 books but at the end its her who is taking blames and hatred of others. She is not even prepared to be a leader not trained well, used but people she loved, but she fought.

Cal: still a character difficult to identify. Seems he care for mare but it's difficult to see through his actions.

Kilorn: heeeee is good but idiot and deserves a lot better in his life.

Maven : I want to kill that person as soon as I meet him. But I guess he is still weak at heart for Mare.

Else everyone in the story is same got to know some new things. The Newbloods powers are amazing to read and see.

The book is good. The places described are amazing. But it gets bit boring in between. The chapters are longer than red queen or it seems to be longer because somewhere it gets boring. This book gave me a hard time to keep my interest in it. A 2 stars for it

But the twist at the ending had my heart so an additional start for it . I'm exited to read the next book in the series actually I'm starting it tomorrow.

Overall I give it 3 starts and 2 less for not keeping my interest and killing someone who need not to die at all.

This book was not as good as the first in this series but was still good. There weren't as many high stakes as the first book and less twist and turns. By the end, I really started to dislike the main character, although I still love the side characters. I'm hoping for some redemption in book 3 that changes my mind about the main character. I also feel like some impactful plot turning moments were not spent enough time on and were just rushed through.
