Loved: What an exciting story! Mystery, darkness, romance, magic and madness. Good times. Heart was definitely pounding during multiple chapters/moments. Read it in 2 days, very fun.

Dislike: Falls into some clichés, but not enough to make me like it less.

Overall, would recommend. Had a great time reading this and didn't want to put it down

This was a fun read that I devoured in one sitting. I hoped this YA would be a good introduction to mystery for my young teen, but the end got pretty dark, and I've seen some reviewers call this YA horror, in which I agree.

There were some cringe moments and some plot twists that seemed like they could've been executed better, but I'm not the target audience and still had a good time reading.

Due to some of the content, I'd recommend to older teens.

3.75.

The first 200 pages were a little slow and initially I thought drifting completely away from the advertised plot. That being said, the last 200 pages? I said WTF out loud to myself 3 times.

If you can get through the first half, I recommend the back half of the book. The book is well written I just found the plot to be a slow start.

Interesting take on light fantasy. Ending confused me slightly, half recommend, will probably read the sequel being published.

It felt like there was so much and also so little happening. What was the main plot???

Too rambly - almost 5 hours into the audiobook and barely anything had happened. Nothing that gripped my attention.
Also, the narrator's voice was hard to listen to.
