It actually started a bit slow for me but when it picked up, it totally sucked me in. I loved Max and Taylor’s story and I loved how the author teased out Max’s background throughout the book. My favorite of the series so far, and I assumed I’d like Landon the best after the first book. Excited for the third of the trilogy!

Max just finished college and she has no idea what she wants to do next when she runs into the most amazing bakery chefs and she is commissioned to help her run her world renown bakery. She also befriends one of the last people she ever thought she would ever become friends with. What she wants is to know if her life is ever going to be what it use to and if she will ever find love.
Ok so after reading this book I have decided this was not the book for me. I am not saying it was bad but the storyline seem to drag for about half the book and the last half of the book was really good and storyline picked up and kept you drawn in. The chemistry was there also about half through and it was sizzling in parts and just there in others(in a good way). I would give this book a 3 1/2 stars out of five.

I was given a copy of this book for my honest review

4.5 stars. This was REALLY great. I LOVED the romance; such a great antagonists-to-friends-to-love development. I loved how Taylor was so supportive of her throughout, even when they weren't even friends, and how she started going over to his place all the time to bake, and when she realized that Taylor had become one of her best friends. Also:
Spoiler"You thought what? That it's a special kind of torture to be in love with your best friend?" TEARS IN MY EYES. BEST FRIENDS FALLING IN LOVE.
Their relationship was just perfect.

Even without the romance, though, I would've loved this book. I got SO invested in Max's success in the cooking world and was desperately hoping she'd become a world-famous chef (or something more reasonable) by the end.
SpoilerI also guessed that Avis was giving her scribbles instead of real recipes pretty early on, and I was so happy to be right.

Anyways, I really just liked this so much more than I expected to.

Thank you, Rachel, for giving us a better understanding of Max. Such an inspiration to move on and grow after hardships.

I loved Party Girl. I connected with the main character or Party Girl so much. I didn’t love Sweet Girl. I just didn’t really buy into her storyline as much. I also felt that a lot of it was really predictable, and I didn’t feel that way about Party Girl. I will give Smart Girl a shot, only because I am now invested in all these characters’ lives.
