There is a whole lot going on here, and a lot of things are said in a lot of different voices and different formats, from short fiction to anecdote to poetry to manifesto. The visions of the future are affecting, and not just the future but the past influences that lead to it. And honestly, my place is to sit down and shut up and listen to the Black Futurists Speak. If you're anything like me—queer white girl, with emphasis on white—that's probably what you should do too.
