This is one of those stories that starts out slowly growing on you until suddenly you just can't quit reading. You are ensnared. You must know what happens next. There are surprises and non-stop action that keeps the reader on their toes. All types of paranormal and supernatural forces involved. The suspense, action and erotica is throughout the entire story. Don't get comfortable. Just as you think you know what is happening, BOOM! Surprise! You really didn't see that coming!

Narina is a mystery. She is definitely keeping secrets. She seems human and weak to Victor, who is a born werewolf. But something about her smell keeps throwing him off. What is it about her that has him suspicious of her and at the same time want to take her with a growing passion that is becoming impossible to ignore.

Now for the bad. This story is rampant in editing errors. It is in need of the almighty 'Blue' pencil. There are words used in the plural when they should be singular. There are wrong words used in improper places. Here are 2 instances that I put into my Goodreads status updates. It's areas like these and other types of errors that interrupt the flow of the story and they are numerous.

" ... and a sequenced halter-top?" (should be sequined and no need for the hyphen)
".....She hasn't yet tasted my blood. It's one-sided. There's been no blood exchanged. Only the giving of my blood. I've not tasted hers."
Blue pencil needed please. If the first part had been edited out, this would make sense. As it is, not so much." (She hasn't yet tasted my blood needed to be completely stricken from this statement. It is untrue and does not belong. The rest of the statement is true.)

If the story had not grabbed me and held my interest they way it did, this would have a been a 3 star or even lower just for all the errors. The author really needs to reedit and update this story. If she was to take care of the problems rampant in it, this would be a 5 star + story. No doubt about it.

actual rating 3,5 stars
I received this ebook copy in axchange of an honest review.

Arctic Bound is an interesting and very good paranormal romance that was well worth my time. However, I don't have time for a long and good review so I will just say what I liked and didn't like, starting with the latter.

Tigris Eden uses too many words where they aren't needed and this is the main reason my rating is so low. Actually, I think it's the only reason because the writing of an author is a really important thing to me and using so many unnecessary words just frustrated me. She loses herself in descriptions of things that I am not interested at the moment and makes the special moment more minor than it is.

Overall, everything else is fine. I pretty much enjoyed the characters' story and their personalities. I loved the action and everything else. I will read the second book when it comes out.

So, Victor and Nerina are two very funny characters to read about because they either fight, fuck or wonder how to get into another argument but throughout the book their relationship developed and it is really well done. I as well pretty much enjoyed the other characters like Blue (he is bae) and Cassandra. They were supportive in a conservative race so I appreciated them really much.

What else? I enjoyed the story and loved the action but I already said that so I guess my short review came to an end. This wasn't the best paranormal romance that I've rest but it sure as hell wasn't the worst. It is enjoyable so...

This book was better than I thought it would be. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Meh. This story suffered from a lack of climax (*cough, cough*) which was disappointing. It had some hot sexual tension, but it felt like the story completely shifted to something new after the character reveal, and then the author just got tired of writing and threw together some brief plot points to try and finish the story as quickly as possible.

A let down after it did a good job of weaving in a decent plot into all the sexy bits. It ended up being cliche and trite. I'd recommend reading the first 2/3 - 3/4 of the book and then just stop after the character reveal.

A Great Read if you are into the Paranormal

This is my review and how I see it. In my first ever novel by author Tigiris Eden, Arctic Bound explored the paranormal of werewolves, humans, and vampires like I haven't read before. This action packed, bdsm filled book is definitely worth a read. It is full of drama and uncovers so much that the heroine decides to run, but proves that she is a ride or die woman for the man/werewolf she ax submitted too.

I am off to read book 2.

This is my review and how I see it.

I’ve recently started reading Eden and now I can’t stop!
Arctic Bound gripped me hard and wouldn’t let go; I found myself drifting back to it every time I tried to put it down and it has still stayed with me, despite the fact that I finished it a couple days ago.

While it did wrap up for the most part, didn’t end on a cliffie, it definitely left me wanting more. Luckily ‘The Reaping’, the next book is free so that isn’t a problem.

The editing is done well in this book.
Also there’s something for everyone: action, drama, crime, romance, shifters, vampires, comedy… I strongly recommend this one.

ARCTIC BOUND is a good start to Eden's newest paranormal series. There is plenty of world building as well as good character development. Nerina has fled to Alaska in order to stay safe from those who are hunting her. She soon discovers that many of the things that she thought were true about herself, her friends, and her life in general are all distorted, manipulated, and just plain wrong. Scarily wrong. Nerina has no idea what she is truly capable of. Nerina has to struggle to find what's true and right as her destiny begins to reveal itself. She's battered and scarred but stays strong and continues to literally fight the good fight.

Victor is a character that had to grow on me. He has his prejudices and hang ups that he doesn't really make excuses for. He just kind of chalks them up to being what he is. He doesn't deny how he thinks, acknowledges that it may be wrong, but accepts that they are true for him. I sort of wished that Nerina had retained some of her flaws and that Victor would have been made to accept them because of his feelings for her instead of the resolution that we get. The resolution isn't necessarily a bad thing I just wish that Victor would have had to suck it up a bit! He does however stand up and fight for Nerina when it really counts so I can't really complain too loudly.

There is a lot of content in ARCTIC BOUND and I love that it looks as though this series will be complex and ongoing. I don't see how this will be a quick and easily resolved series so I am definitely looking forward to being drawn further into this interesting world Tigris Eden has created. There are quite a few grammatical issues in ARCTIC BOUND that are distracting while reading. These issues are a shame because the flow and telling of the story is very good. I am sure that the lack of a thorough editing will distract or even turn off some readers. However, I will definitely continue on with this series.
