This book was charming and adorable. I love the way Rachel writes and develops her characters. Chandler and Finn had great chemistry and were genuinely enjoyable reading about. I loved the way it was kinda of a flipped script in the man being less experienced and getting tips from the women as I feel like most books play up the innocent female and experienced man.

Sometimes, bullet points are the best form of expression. This book is:
  • Surprisingly and delightfully sexy, while being the most realistic about female pleasure I've ever encountered in a romance novel.
  • Genuinely one of the loveliest heroes, again who feels like a person rather than an amalgamation of tropes
  • A main character in their 30s going through career changes!!
  • Attention to how nostalgic fan favorite TV shows contribute to fan conventions and how a lot of that revenue is driving by girls and women
  • RENO REPRESENTED AS LIKE, A NORMAL COLLEGE CITY I could scream about this for days
So excited for Rachel Lynn Solomon and whatever she does next.

I loved the first half of this, and it had such an interesting premise, but the second half let me down a bit in terms of pacing and relationship development. I felt like there needed to be more connection without Chandler constantly pulling back. The third-act breakup was a bit nonsensical and also occurred way too late in the book for my tastes. I like seeing couples happy together for longer than half a chapter at the end and the epilogue!

Really enjoyed the communication, sex positivity, and mental health rep though. And these two were such adorable nerds!
