It may be me but I couldn't connect at all with Drew. At the end of the book he still was a mistery to me.

I also wished that Tory/Rhia came clean a lot earlier and her refusal to involve the law enforcment did not make sense to me at all.

Oh well, doesn't matter I'm way too excited for Nicole and Ryan and for Sean.

Really enjoying these books, they are nice quick reads but very romantic and suspenceful. Looking forward to the rest of the series

The Callaway Family books are just a fun set of romances with a big Irish family of eight brothers and sisters who are all in firefighting or military service, set in San Francisco. FALLING FOR A STRANGER, the third book in the series, is Drew and Ria’s book. After a one-night stand on an island, Drew tries to follow Ria out to the dock to see her again, only to see the boat she was on explode. Her body is never found and she is presumed dead. Then he believes he sees her years later, but she doesn’t recognize him and goes by a different name. Ria is living with Megan, her sister or niece? One quibble I had with this book versus the previous two in the series is that it hinges on one character keeping a big secret about why Ria is on the run and chapters alternate between Ria and Drew’s perspectives and it takes until 75% of the way through the novel to get any answers at all which is a long time to drag that out without anything progressing in the plot which for me made it a weaker read than the previous two books. 4/5 stars.

The whole love at first sight thing just isn't for me. I liked the whole backstory of Ria and Megan but it took too long for it to come out and everything about the romantoc relationship was just too cheesy for my taste, plus the moment he checked her phone without her permission: seriously?! That's a no-go and turned me off of their relationship even faster than the love at first sight part...the thing that made me finish the book was getting to know more about Jack and Elenor and their big secret.
