I didn't realize this was the author or Nimona, but I enjoyed learning about his story. It was really dark at points and a lot of mental health issues to sort through.

I like the photos and drawings.

I just wish the author went into more detail about everything and talked more about her life. It was really surface level and focused mostly on her achievements.

well.. this is one of those memoirs that makes me wonder why the author made a memoir at all. it came in the form of yearly reviews, which felt like reading someone’s resume combined with sticky notes they had left themself and diary entries. it had good moments but it was a list rather than a story, and there was little true vulnerability.

I was a quarter in when I realized I’d read some of this before, online in its original format. This is honest and raw and beautiful and I think others will feel seen, so I’m glad this is a published collection - I wished there were more entries up to now - which of course exist on the author’s substack.

I really enjoyed the journey this authors life story took me on. I saw myself in some parts. I hope my future is brighter than what I can see right now.

I don’t know why I always feel bad when I don’t relate to a memoir as much as I want to
I guess it was unfair to read this one right after reading “In The Dream House”
