I really loved the first few chapters but then it got a little repetitive.

Can't stand the voice-unbearably narcissistic and frantic, unaware of other people or her own privilege. Might resonate better with a much younger reader though.

I was really intrigued after the first chapter, but the rest of the book seemed to meander until a sort of satisfactory resolution at the end. It’s interesting to read materials that call out people who have wronged them, when it is easy to google a few words and figure out who they are - I guess they can’t be specifically named because of legal reasons?

Hysterical is one of the best memoirs i’ve ever read. I related to Elissa’s story intensely and appreciated the inclusivity of her writing around gender, race, ethnicity, and class. I could not recommend this more!
