DD likes it when I read all the flower names.

A short book about flower gardening that would be a good fit for the youngest readers. One section goes through all of the colors of the flowers in the garden, and those colors are tabbed pages that make it a little more fun.

A great book for talking about colors and flowers. I love that you can make it a simple book, or you can add all the flower names to make it for an older crowd.

Lots of happy kicking and engaged eye contact during this read aloud. Maybe it's the bright colors, large contrasting font, or the rainbow fold pages... But you can't really go wrong with Ehlert can you?

I really like the idea behind this children's picture book. But the writing was lame. And the art didn't do the concept justice. This would have been great with some more realistic art. And some more inspiring writing.

I loved this book and now I really, really want to plant a rainbow. Babe hated it and wouldn't read it, which is why it doesn't get 5 stars.

Clever use of medium, and very informative. Using the frame of a rainbow really drew Z and V's interest.
