Science fiction and fantasy were never something I thought could blend together, but Rhoma Grace's endeavor to prevent an old evil from ruining the Zodiac proved otherwise.

The world is amazing, the charcters need just a bit more of work
However, even though I dont like Rho so much, I dont think she is a bad character because she is not like Katniss Everdeen.

I am not a fan of love triangles, but I believe their feelings are genuine

Cant wait to read the second book!

There were a lot of times throughout reading the book that it seemed to only contain grossly overused cliches for the genre (such as the love triangle). Those cliches almost got to me. But the worldbuilding was so great, and the book had so much tension and twists and turns. It was very rarely boring and not at all predictable (the plot twists at the end got me). Also, Hysan is just such a great and lovable character, and he kept me going. I’m team Rhosan endgame.
This book made me feel whiplash for sure. I couldn’t stand it in the beginning, but now I can’t wait to see what happens next. And I may have rooted for Mathias and despised Hysan at the start.
This reminded me a lot of the Shadow & Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, and the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

"Zodíaco" es la primera parte de una tetralogía.

En un mundo donde la gente lee el futuro en las estrellas, este libro nos cuenta la historia de Rhoma Grace, una joven que vive en la Casa de Cáncer (una de las doce Casas que conforman el Zodíaco) y que tiene una manera muy peculiar de leer las estrellas. Parece que ella es capaz de leer o Ver más allá de lo que leen el resto de sus compañeros. Un día, una explosión acaba con miles de vidas en una de las lunas del planeta de Rhoma, algo que quizás podría haberse evitado si alguien hubiese creído las visiones que ella había intuido en las estrellas. Este trágico acontecimiento llevará a Rhoma a ocupar un puesto especial, que ella aceptará llena de dudas e inseguridades, pero dispuesta a cualquier cosa por ayudar a los suyos. Además, se embarcará en una aventura, acompañada por uno de sus guardianes personales y un habitante de la Casa de Libra con quienes Rhoma sentirá mucha cercanía, por diferentes razones.

El universo creado por Romina Russell me ha parecido tan complejo y rico en detalles que es absolutamente fascinante sumergirse en él. Si os gusta la astrología o lo relativo al zodíaco, os va a dejar sin palabras. Aunque, si no os gustan estos temas, creo que lo vais a disfrutar igualmente. Es cierto que se introducen muchos términos y conceptos completamente nuevos, y esto hace que el lector necesite un tiempo para acostumbrarse al libro (personalmente, habría incluido un glosario). Pero también es cierto que la autora, con su narración, hace que todo sea mucho más sencillo de lo que parece y enseguida mete al lector de lleno en este universo tan increíble. Además, los términos o conceptos importantes se repiten constantemente a lo largo del libro, de manera que el lector no tiene que estar haciendo un continuo esfuerzo de memoria que pueda sacarle de la lectura. Creo que la autora ha sabido equilibrar todo muy bien.

A todo esto le añadimos personajes bien construidos, con personalidades definidas y que, para mí, suenan muy reales. Puede que el punto débil de esta novela sea la trama, que es la típica lucha del bien contra el mal, pero la autora termina con un giro de trama que yo nunca había visto en este tipo de libros (al menos, hasta ahora) y eso es un gran punto a favor. Además, hay muchísima acción en sus páginas, lo que lo convierte en un libro muy dinámico que se lee en un suspiro.

Recomiendo mucho esta saga a todo el mundo, pero en especial a los amantes de la astrología. ¡Vais a disfrutar como enanos!

I like it! There were a few instances where sentences were smooshed together likethisisyouknowwhatimean - a simple editing mistake but yeah a little like “what?”
There were also situations where I’d completely stop and go “wait. How did that get there?” or stuff like that which seemed a bit far fetched however I absolutely love the characters and the story

“I won't stay silent anymore, not when speaking out can make a difference.”

POR FIN LO HE LEIDO. Buah la primera vez que hablé con Romina tenía planeado ya leerme este libro y hace ya un año de eso.
El caso es que leído ya el libro me ha gustado bastante, creo que es una manera de introducir todo lo que se va a liar. Me encanta Rho (que no se note que soy Cáncer también). Lo unico que me ha fallado es algunas partes de la trama pero la verdad es que es un libro muy entretenido y lleno de acción.
Ganas de leer el próximo libro yass
