This novel dragged on far too much (and the romance became a bit of a whine fest) from 20%-60% of the book. The beginning of the novel was strong and the last 40% plus the ending was strong but the last 150 pages of action/twists etc should have been more fleshed out. Instead of the lull we should’ve had those 150 pages much more fleshed out.
The ending was strong and I enjoyed poppy’s arc, though it was done too fast. I’m cautiously optimistic for the 4th book and I hope there is less filler content in the 4th book.

The plot twists in this one are so extreme they had me reeling. Like, do they make logical sense?? Honestly idk and idc. The middle dragged a lot which is why I'm only giving in 3 stars but I'm still insanely excited for the next one. Poppy x Casteel 4ever xoxo

What a freaking ride!!!! I am once again left speechless by the absolutely magic that JLA infused this series with! This book packed A LOT in, and the twists just kept on coming. Seeing Poppy finally accept who she is and come into her own was so freaking powerful, it sent goosebumps down my arms! I still can’t believe I held out so long before diving into this world, because I am utterly captivated and I need more!
