Not my fav, it was good but it felt predictable and a little simplistic, i feel like if i read this when i was 11-13 i would’ve loved it though! probably just not the right age for me

Really loved the way this retelling worked. It was super different to usual retellings, I thought it would be a Cinderella story but instead Cinderella would be a POC yet it was like Cinderella's story has already happened about 200 years earlier and now the people are using Cinderella's story like a religious text and are applying it to their lives but is Cinderella's story really as it seems...?

I love Sophia and Constance relationship,and how they teamed up to go against the king.The ending was so good ,I love how it ended with Sophia rewriting the story. I wish liv was still alive and we could see Luke have the relationship he couldn’t have before.

This book was just mid for me. It wasn't terrible, but I simply wasn't that invested in the story. The characters were nice, but I didn't love them. The story was fine, and the world too I guess. It was also a bit slow in my opinion, the last 100 pages were the best and most enjoyable.
