I found it a bit underwhelming honestly. I love revolutionary lesbians but the romance was a bit distracting because it wasn't earned at all, they were instantly in love pretty much and so their relationship never got to grow or deepen, and they absolutely had bigger shit to be dealing with
It was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the fairytale worldbuilding aspect was also kind of meh honestly

Je laisse sans note car quasiment sure que si je n’ai pas trop aimé c’est à cause de la traduction. J’avais adoré « This poison heart », autre roman de l’autrice, donc je ne vois que ça. Les thématiques étaient très cool et la réécriture du conte de cendrillon et de son impact sur le royaume étaient très sympa à suivre mais j’avais l’impression de lire en surface des phrases plates qui ne rendaient pas justice au propos

This book is similar to „the lunar chronicles“. The sapphic love story is very prominent in the book and the challenging of societal norms contains just sexism. 

All in all it’s a good book for a younger ya audience
