Laugh out loud funny! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and definitely want to read more from this author.

So I did the math and it’s statistically impossible for Hibbert to write a bad book.

This was so perfect. I love Eve! I love Jacob! I love Eve and Jacob! This is such a beautiful story of growing pains in relationships, finding your path, and the care/removal of vicious waterfowl. I felt seen and actually cared for through my read. Not sure how it’s possible for a book to care for you, but Hibbert has a knack for the impossible.

After reading all her books in the Brown Sisters series, I don’t like that all of them follow a very similar formula. The third act break up was just so tiring, there was no need for it and it added nothing to the plot. I liked Eve and Jacob’s dynamic, and I like that all of the Brown Sisters’ boyfriends have very different personalities. Enjoyed the autism rep as well and the discussion around Jacob’s parents was really interesting.

Even though Eve reckons with her mistakes at the end, I still found myself annoyed with her at times. Like girl you’re 26 years old, how are you gonna fail culinary school, law school, ruin a wedding, etc. Wasting money and opportunities is not cute.
