“Diseased Intentions”

By Daniel Munro

Synopsis:
After the initial attack, things calm down at Penbrook Vineyard. Life goes slowly back to normal but danger is still looming. The residents are healing from the recent attack and grieving their losses.
The Admiral is still in the loose and wants revenge. The secrets go beyond of what they could have imagined. It’s not only them that’s in danger from the Admiral and his Termites. What will Ryan have to sacrifice to keep the people he loves safe?

My opinion:
He’s done it again! The book is every bit as good the first part. I still don’t get over of how much I enjoyed this setting. I really started to care for the characters and their future. The author had me on the edge of my seat. I was dying on the inside at some point.
Ryan is as brilliant as last time around and the side characters are exceptionally well written and dimensional.  My imagination got maybe a bit too vivid this time around, all I say is Spanish flag 🇪🇸… ugh.

This is maybe a bit more political than action based, but there was plenty of action. It felt really well researched to me and utterly believable.
While I still liked book one better, this definitely deserves five stars as well.

Read if you like:
  • after war survival
  • Action and fast pace
  • Controversial topics
  • Brilliant characters

Be aware of your triggers: there might be quite some, but some include: cannibalism, slavery, war and violence, torture

But it’s all handled in a way that even I could stomach it without problems.
