I did enjoy these short stories. There are so many little hints to the setting of Fresno and the Bay Area in the 1980s, and each short story could be the center of a mini-lesson on including details to develop a sense of setting.
I don't think I liked any of them more or less than the others. But all of them could be a jumping point for a writing activity - the stories were complete, but the endings all left something unanswered. Each story could be a "what happens next?" prompt.
