I really enjoyed reading this! It was quick and entertaining. John has a very distinct voice that I could find throughout, which I thoroughly appreciated. I also have a soft spot for New England, so it was a great read.

This is a beautiful collection of short tales beautifully combined together by virtue of location. It is deceptively silly, romantic, and deep. I had a lovely time getting to know the characters from the town of Almost.

Kind of an odd collection of episodes, Cariani nevertheless has a style of writing and a flavor of romance, Maine, and magic that create some touching moments and an overall arc that carries through the play.
