i liked this so much more than something borrowed. darcy is truly awful, but i loved seeing her transform as she discovers what a snot she really is.

The sequel of 'something borrowed' was way better than the first one. Darcy, after some quite boring chapters, is alone and misserable. So she is heading to London to live with her friend Ethan. At first they don't get along as they supposed to, but then Darcy makes up her mind to change, and the very next day she does, which seemes a bit beyond reality. Fortunately, the main character is quite interesting, with her reapproach towards her character and her preparation in becoming a mother. Still the book doesn't give you much feedback.

In the beginning I wasn't excited about reading all about Darcy. She kind of pissed me off but this book made me feel better about it. I had a couple freak out moments which made me really enjoy the book altogether. I would recommend this if you did enjoy Something Borrowed because it really answers questions. Not to mention the shocking surprises!

This was the perfect ending for these characters!! I loved it so much and wish they would’ve made a second movie. I love when everything comes around full circle and gets tied up in a neat bow. Though some things seemed predictable it was still a beautiful story filled with many lessons about self discovery,  life, love, and friendship. Any book that can evoke emotion out of me is a stellar one and this one definitely had me choked up at the end. We are not what we have done or the mistakes we have made. There is room for improvement always if you just believe in yourself and make the strides to become a better person each day.

The ending to a mixed up fairy tale. Cute twists were added to make you love and hate the characters but in the end, I enjoyed this short read. Definitely not a book for the cynical.

Even though I loved 'Something Borrowed', I really hated Darcy Rhone, and when I found out 'Something Blue' was all about her, I was very skeptical. Much to my surprise though, I LOVED this book. I think I may even like it better than the first one!

The book starts out with a couple chapters rehashing the final pages of the first book when Darcy finds out about Dex and Rachel's affair, and Darcy discovers her own surprise. The following chapters are Darcy being her shallow, manipulative, immature, whiney 'ol self...I still hated her and thought nothing would change that. But about half-way through the book, when she gets to London friendless, man-less, and at her lowest, she finally starts to grow up and take a mature look at her life and where it's heading.

Figuring she needs to end her obsession with Rachel and Dex, find a job, and not be so judgmental based on shallow observations, she sets about trying to right all the wrongs in her life. With the help of her childhood friend Ethan (the one who lives in London), she slowly starts making progress in becoming a better person overall.

Bottom line...this was a marvelous read. I loved the ending and even grew to like Darcy herself. Kudos to Ms. Giffin who has given us two very readable story's that are next to impossible to put down. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for her future novels, she really has a great talent for storytelling.

I remember one summer at the lake all of the moms being obsessed with Emily giffin’s books and I’m going to be honest this is terrible. I don’t get it. Something borrowed was bad but it was still kind of fun in a trainwreck kind of way. This had nothing redeeming. I thought Rachel was a bad character since she was “not like other girls” but Darcy is 1000 times worse. Darcy was just so annoying, vapid and judgemental. Her “redemption” was not a redemption. I just didn’t care about her and wanted the lovely Ethan to run as far as he could.
