I’ve read too many mysteries so it was predictable to me. What I enjoyed was the way the FMC solved the mystery. It’s from the perspective of a high schooler and it shows, but in a very palatable way. I don’t love the romance they tossed in, but it felt organic even tho it’s slightly weird. I didn’t think it needed a romance at all. It feels like a modern mystery because it utilizes modern media to show how a mystery could (in theory) be pieced together and solved. I won’t be finishing the series, but this book was good.

Ok……. I LOVEDDDD this!

It really pulled off the fast-pacedness well….. but I felt like the author could’ve left some room for character development (like SHOWING it instead of telling….. felt like the emotions of the moment could’ve been more described in some places; the romance kind of snuck up on me….. but I FELT it coming - so as long as it’s more described in the next books, I’ll be fine)

5.25🌟 (second on all-time fave bookshelf, after TCP)

I really loved this book.
First of all it's a great mystery thriller. The twists are great. Nothing is too off-wall. You can follow along with the clues given.

Secondly I love all of the characters. Even the villains both made me be disgusted by their actions while being able to feel that they were a person. The main characters family are an absolute delight. It's lovely and refreshing to have a teenage school going character who family are a part of her life and that she has a host of friends that she regularly meets and hangs out with.
The characters actions make sense. There's no moment where I thought "for the love of God really!?"

There's humour and warm humour throughout the book. Dialogue between teenagers that actually feels like a teenager would say that.

While also it deals with dark topics in a serious way and in a more grown up way then many adult thrillers I've read. There's more respect paid to the victims and the people effected in the town.

A lovely fun read, with good suspense and drama.

This was soooooo goooood!!!!!
It’s a fast paced thriller. Totally loved the main characters and their bond. Pippa is me in so many ways. Loved the way, the story progressed. The twist was almost unexpected. The last 100 pages gave me a roller coaster of emotions. The way each character/suspect was analysed was also really good. Totally unputdownable!!!!

I loved this book! Finally a protagonist in a crime novel who is not dumb and me seeing the plot twist from miles away. I truly didn’t know what happened to Andi Bell and I loved guessing along side Pip and Ravi. The plot really kept me on my toes and I wish I could read it again without knowing what happens. I also thought the entries in between chapters were really smart.
