The tone of this book was really odd. I loved the beginning because the comedy and banter was really fun but by the end it took a really dark turn and I was definitely missing the humour. Overall, the book was short and a fun read. I liked the characters. I think I'd like to see Andrew Mayhem face off against a more imperfect/inexperienced villain because that'd open the door for more comedy which was my favorite part of the book.

So a large theme in this book is

snuff films.

These are pretty graphic. Expect some dismemberment, people getting shot, and a cat and mouse game between the hero and villain that involves a lot of violence. A lot of it isn't as graphic as it could be, but the shift on tone between comedy and horror makes it feel more intense than it would otherwise.
